The 2022 Fremont County 4-H and FFA Horse Show was on the fairgrounds in Sidney.
In the halter mare 3+ class, blue ribbons went to Cooper Avey (Riverside Rockets), Mavryc Morgan (Fremont County Fletchings), Noah Howe (Riverside Rockets), and Czandrya Morgan (Fremont County Fletchings).
The grand champion mare banner, sponsored by the Waubonsie Saddle Club, went to Madison Hensley (Silver Skylarks).
The reserve champion mare banner, also sponsored by the Waubonsie Saddle Club, went to Cooper Avey (Riverside Rockets).
In the halter gelding class, two years old as of January 1, Cooper Avey (Riverside Rockets) received a purple ribbon The halter gelding 3+ years or older class saw blue ribbons going to Czandrya Morgan (Fremont County Fletchings), Katherine Howe (Riverside Rockets), and Ryan Korver (Riverside Rockets). A purple ribbon went to Lillian Howe (Riverside Rockets.
The grand champion gelding banner went to Lillian Howe (Riverside Rockets). Her banner was sponsored by Whitehill Quarterhorse/Kent Feeds.
Ryan Korver (Riverside Rockets) received the reserve champion gelding banner sponsored by Whitehill Quarterhorse/Kent Feeds.
In the senior horse showmanship class, Madison Hensley (Silver Skylarks) received a purple ribbon, and took home the Grand Champion belt buckle, sponsored by M & J Electrical.
Reserve champion senior showmanship honors went to Lillian Howe (Riverside Rockets), along with a purple ribbon. Her buckle was sponsored by Troxel Farms.
Receiving a blue in senior horse showmanship was Mavryc Morgan (Fremont County Fletchings).
Receiving purple ribbons in intermediate horse showmanship were Katherine Howe (Riverside Rockets) and Cooper Avey (Riverside Rockets).
A blue in the class went to Noah Howe (Riverside Rockets).
Claire Korver (Riverside Rockets) received a red ribbon in intermediate horse showmanship.
Katherine Howe (Riverside Rockets) received the grand champion intermediate horse showmanship belt buckle sponsored by Lucas Dinklage, CPA.
The reserve champion intermediate horse showmanship buckle, sponsored by Dog Daze Grooming and Boarding, went to Cooper Avey (Riverside Rockets).
Receiving blue ribbons in junior horse showmanship were Ryan Korver (Riverside Rockets) and Elizabeth Covert (Riverside Rockets).
Czandrya Morgan (Fremont County Fletchings) earned a purple ribbon, and Grand Champion honors, in junior horse showmanship. Her buckle was sponsored by Lucas Dinklage, CPA.
The reserve champion junior horse showmanship buckle was awarded to Ryan Korver (Riverside Rockets). The sponsor was Shenandoah Animal Hospital.
In the senior bareback horsemanship and senior bareback western pleasure classes, Mavryc Morgan (Fremont County Fletchings) received red ribbons.
Cooper Avey (Riverside Rockets) received purple ribbons in intermediate bareback horsemanship and intermediate bareback western pleasure classes.
In the English pleasure class, Lillian Howe (Riverside Rockets) and Czandrya Morgan (Fremont County Fletchings) received blue ribbons.
The same two competed in English equitation with Lillian Howe (Riverside Rockets) receiving a purple ribbon and Czandrya Morgan (Fremont County Fletchings), taking home a blue.
Mavryc Morgan (Fremont County Fletchings) received a red ribbon in senior western pleasure.
In the intermediate western pleasure class, red ribbons went to Claire Korver (Riverside Rockets) and Noah Howe (Riverside Rockets). Receiving a blue ribbon in the class was Cooper Avey (Riverside Rockets).
In the beginner western pleasure class, Czandrya Morgan (Fremont County Fletchings) received a blue ribbon.
Cooper Avey (Riverside Rockets) received a red ribbon in the intermediate ranch horse pleasure class.
Katherine Howe (Riverside Rockets) received a red ribbon in the junior ranch horse pleasure class.
Ryan Korver (Riverside Rockets) received a blue in the walk-trot class.
In senior western horsemanship, a purple ribbon went to Lillian Howe (Riverside Rockets) and a red went to Mavryc Morgan (Fremont County Fletchings).
Cooper Avey (Riverside Rockets) earned a blue ribbon in intermediate western horsemanship.
Receiving red ribbons in the same class were Noah Howe (Riverside Rockets) and Claire Korver (Riverside Rockets).
In the junior western horsemanship class, a purple ribbon west to Katherine Howe (Riverside Rockets) and a blue ribbon went to Czandrya Morgan (Fremont County Fletchings).
Lillian Howe (Riverside Rockets) earned a blue ribbon in the senior western reining class. Mavryc Morgan (Fremont County Fletchings) received a red.
In junior western reining, Czandrya Morgan (Fremont County Fletchings) received a blue ribbon.
Lillian Howe (Riverside Rockets, earned a purple ribbon in senior trail while Mavryc Morgan (Fremont County Fletchings) received a red.
In intermediate trail, first blue went to Noah Howe (Riverside Rockets) and second blue was awarded to Cooper Avey (Riverside Rockets. Claire Korver (Riverside Rockets) also received a blue ribbon in the class.
One purple ribbon was handed out in the junior trail class. It went to Katherine Howe (Riverside Rockets).
Czandrya Morgan (Fremont County Fletchings) received a blue ribbon in the same class.
Speed events started with Lillain Howe (Riverside Rockets) receiving a purple ribbon with a time of 42.47 in senior pole bending. Mavryc Morgan (Fremont County Fletchings) received a red ribbon with no time. In the intermediate pole bending speed event, purple went to Cooper Avey (Riverside Rockets) with a time of 26.88.
Earning a blue ribbon was Claire Korver (Riverside Rockets) with a time of 50.84.
In the junior pole bending class, Katherine Howe (Riverside Rockets) received a purple with a winning time of 38.19. Also receiving a purple was Czandrya Morgan (Fremont County Fletchings) with a time of 38.41.
A purple ribbon went to Lillian Howe (Riverside Rockets) in the senior barrel race speed event with a time of 26.15. Mavryc Morgan (Fremont County Fletchings) received a red ribbon with no time.
Receiving a purple ribbon in the intermediate barrel race speed event was Cooper Avey (Riverside Rockets) with a time of 18.51. Earning a blue in the same class was Claire Korver (Riverside Rockets) with a time of 36.04.
In the junior barrel race speed event, Katherine Howe (Riverside Rockets) received first purple with a time of 24.81. Czandrya Morgan (Fremont County Fletchings) got a purple ribbon with a time of 27.69.
In the senior flag race, a purple ribbon went to Mavryc Morgan (Fremont County Fletchings) with a time of 12.63. Lillian Howe (Riverside Rockets) received a blue with a time of 25.91.
Cooper Avey (Riverside Rockets) and Claire Korver (Riverside Rockets) each received a red ribbon in the intermediate flag race speed event.
In junior flag race, a blue ribbon went to Czandrya Morgan (Fremont County Fletchings) with a time of 32.32. Katherine Howe (Riverside Rockets) received a red ribbon with no time.
In the senior keyhole speed event, Mavryc Morgan (Fremont County Fletchings) took home a purple with a time of 10.93. Lillian Howe (Riverside Rockets) received a blue with a time of 16.47.
Cooper Avey (Riverside Rockets) received a purple ribbon with a time of 9.65 in the intermediate keyhole class. Claire Korver (Riverside Rockets) got a blue with a time of 19.44.
In junior keyhole, purple went to Katherine Howe (Riverside Rockets) with a time of 13.53. Czandrya Morgan (Fremont County Fletchings) also received a purple ribbon with a time of 14.11.
In a new class, several competitors participated in the Horse & Pony Costume Contest and all received purple ribbons. They were Claire and Ryan Korver (Riverside Rockets) with their horse, Geronimo, dressed at a donut.
Czandrya Morgan (Fremont County Fletchings), and her horse, Calista, dressed as Queen Elizabeth’s horse trainer.
Katherine Howe (Riverside Rockets) and her horse, Dakota, dressed as lifeguards.
Elizabeth Covert (Riverside Rockets) and her horse, Toby, were decked out in the red, white, and blue.
Several special awards were presented to horse exhibitors on Saturday evening of the Fremont County Fair.
All horse exhibitors were considered for the All-Around Award.
Points were earned through participation in horse camps, clinics, workshops, lessons, or other opportunities that encourage improved horsemanship.
One halter class also counts toward the All-Around Award.
The Senior All-Around award went to Lillian Howe (Riverside Rockets) The Intermediate All-Around award went to Cooper Avey (Riverside Rockets).
The Junior All-Around award went to Czandrya Morgan (Fremont County Fletchings).
All-Around awards were sponsored by County Line Design.
All youth enrolled in the horse and pony project area were considered for the Helping Hooves Award. This is presented to youth who exhibit helpfulness and support to fellow exhibitors and serve as horse ambassadors.
Votes were taken the day of the show from exhibitors, Fair Board members, Extension Council members and Youth Committee members.
The Senior Helping Hooves traveling plaque went to Lillian Howe (Riverside Rockets).
The Intermediate Helping Hooves traveling plaque went to Cooper Avey (Riverside Rockets). The Junior Helping Hooves traveling plaque went to Katherine Howe (Riverside Rockets).
All horse exhibitors were also considered for the most improved rider award. This is based on ribbon placings earned during Wednesday’s show, compared to placings earned in the previous year’s show.
The Most Improved Rider award went to Claire Korver (Riverside Rockets). Her gift was sponsored by Orschelns.
Teresa Davison of Bedford, Iowa served as the horse judge. Horse superintendents are Kayla Walter, Ashley Smith, and Amy Head.
