Brian Rowden, 70, a retired cattle farmer near Dartmouth in Devon, has been hosting rodeos on his land for four years. He draws up to 12 riders, some from as far as Kent, once a month for weekend events at which they move cattle, lasso dummy calves towed by trucks— because roping real animals is outlawed in the UK — take part in friendly
