CREAM RIDGE, N.J. — The Standardbred Retirement Foundation (SRF) will host a Meet and Greet on Saturday, May 18, from 3 to 5 p.m. at the farm at 42 Arneytown-Hornerstown Rd., Cream Ridge, N.J.

Come meet the new foal born to a mare who was recently rescued by SRF. There will also be 65 adoptable horses ready to meet the public.

Sample craft beers and wine while meeting a great selection of horses looking for their forever homes. Many will be shown under saddle in both Western and English disciplines with the SRF trainer and volunteers, Staff will be on hand to answer questions regarding adoption, fostering, the organization, upcoming events, volunteer opportunities and information regarding horse sponsorship.

Volunteer riders are needed for the event as well.

Adoption applications must be approved before the event to secure a horse. The foal may also be available for a home when weaned in the near future. Most horses are not on the website, they are often adopted before they are posted, but they will be on hand to meet potential adopters. Visit the SRF Facebook page the morning of the event to check for any weather related date changes.
